Role: Purchasing Intern
About the Role:
​
As a Purchasing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in procurement processes with a strong focus on vendor selection, contract and agreement support, and project-based initiatives. You will assist in maintaining compliance with purchasing policies while supporting strategic sourcing activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Vendor Selection & Management
-
Assist in preparing and analyzing RFPs/RFQs for vendor evaluation

Maintain vendor records and support onboarding processes
-
Participate in meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders
-
Contracts & Agreement Support
-
Organize and maintain contract files and procurement documentation
-
Track and review purchase orders, leases, and agreements
-
Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to ensure compliance
-
Project Support
-
Contribute to defined procurement initiatives and present findings
-
Track, report, and analyze cost savings and spend data using Excel
-
Support cross-functional projects and resolve procurement issues

Qualifications:
-
Currently enrolled in college, majoring in Business, Finance, or related field
-
Completed sophomore year with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
-
Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis

Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ERP familiarity.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
-
Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
-
Team player with a proactive approach and willingness to learn
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Starting hourly range for this position: $22.00 - $24.00 depending on your academic year.

Purpose & Summary:
​
As an account manager, you will be responsible for effectively creating new business relationships through qualifying prospective clients throughout various industries.
Day to day responsibilities will include:

Making cold calls and/or email to reaching out to prospects

Present, promote, and close new business using solid solutions to existing and prospective customers

Research prospects through various sources

Developing strategies and setting quotas
-
Networking through tradeshows, groups, and local events
-
Develop cross-referrals through current customers
-
Conduct facility tours and off-site meetings
-
Negotiate pricing and unique/customized quote development
-
Expand new and existing relationships finding opportunities to expand services/products
-
Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience

Maintaining a database of contact information

Requirements:
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
-
Additional education or experience (B2B experience) may be preferred
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-
The drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking for new opportunities.
-
Strong time management skills.
-
Computer skills, especially MS Office and CRM software.
-
Ability to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process.

Starting salary range for this position: $60,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience)
